New sessions aim to support staff returning to work

The Leeds Health and Care Thrive at Work Programme is offering a free online training session designed to assist managers in supporting employees returning to work. The initiative focuses on building healthier and more resilient workplace environments within the Leeds Health and Care sector.

Details of the training session

The one-hour session, titled Coaching Approach to Return-to-Work Conversations, provides practical techniques for managers to adopt a coaching mindset. This approach is intended to facilitate supportive and constructive discussions with staff members re-entering the workplace after an absence.

Key objectives of the training include:

  • Guiding supportive and constructive conversations
  • Promoting wellbeing and engagement among staff
  • Enabling smoother and more successful reintegration into the workplace

Course dates and registration

The training is available on the following dates, with each session running from 10am to 11am:

  • 29 January 2026
  • 12 February 2026
  • 26 February 2026

Participants are required to attend only one session. The course is specifically aimed at those working within the Leeds Health and Care sector.
