Residents invited to share views on future bus designs

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority has opened a public consultation to gather feedback on the design of new buses planned for the region. This initiative aims to involve local residents and bus users in shaping the future look and functionality of public transport vehicles.

How to participate in the consultation

Comments can be submitted online via the West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s dedicated consultation webpage. Additionally, two in-person sessions are scheduled to provide opportunities for face-to-face engagement:

  • White Rose Shopping Centre: 25 November, 10:00am to 2:00pm
  • Leeds Bus Station: 29 November, 10:00am to 12:00pm

The online consultation can be accessed at https://www.yourvoice.westyorks-ca.gov.uk/onboardbuses.

Purpose of the consultation

The consultation seeks to collect views on the design aspects of new buses, which may include considerations such as accessibility, comfort, environmental impact, and overall aesthetics. Engaging the public at this stage allows the Combined Authority to incorporate user preferences and needs into the final bus designs.

Further details about the consultation and how the feedback will be used have not been specified.
