CAST launches third annual survey to understand AI needs in the charity sector

CAST, a UK-based charity supporting other charities in using digital technology for social good, has opened its third annual survey on artificial intelligence (AI). The survey aims to collect views, experiences, and support needs related to AI from organisations across the charity sector.

The information gathered will help CAST tailor its support resources and influence the wider response of the sector to AI developments. Previous surveys conducted by CAST have informed the creation of various resources, including AI self-serve courses, an AI experiments library, and an AI hub.

Survey details and participation

  • The survey is anonymous and designed to take approximately ten minutes to complete.
  • It is open until February 2026, allowing ample time for responses.
  • CAST will review responses as they come in, enabling early feedback to shape ongoing activities.

Charities and individuals interested in contributing their perspectives on AI are encouraged to participate by accessing the survey at: https://wearecast.typeform.com/ai-survey-2026.

This initiative forms part of CAST’s ongoing efforts to support the charity sector in navigating the evolving digital landscape, particularly in relation to AI technologies.
