Enhancing care and support at The Rob Burrow Centre

The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) at Seacroft Hospital has recently welcomed new team members to improve patient care and support services. The centre is operated by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, with funding support from Leeds Hospitals Charity and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

New centre manager appointed

Gary Jevon has joined the centre as its new manager, a role funded by Leeds Hospitals Charity. Mr Jevon brings experience from his previous positions as Chief Executive of Healthwatch Wakefield and as a programme manager at the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB). His appointment aims to support the development of the centre’s services and ensure high-quality care, education, and research.

Funding and support for MND services

Leeds Hospitals Charity has provided funding for specialist clinical roles to enhance the care and support available to patients at the centre. This investment is intended to strengthen the multidisciplinary team and improve patient outcomes.

Additionally, the Motor Neurone Disease Association has continued its long-term commitment to the centre by providing significant funding for research and care coordination roles. This funding supports efforts to advance understanding of MND and improve continuity of care for those affected by the disease.
