Weston Charity Awards Open for Applications

Charities operating in the North of England, the Midlands, and Wales have the opportunity to apply for the Weston Charity Awards, which provide financial support alongside a package of development resources. The awards are aimed at registered charities working in areas including youth, welfare, environment, and community services.

Details of the Awards Package

The Weston Charity Awards offer a comprehensive support package valued at over £22,000 to each of the 22 finalists. This includes:

  • A fully funded year of support from Pilotlight, a charity that provides strategic assistance to other charities.
  • An unrestricted cash grant of £6,500 to support the charity’s work in conjunction with Pilotlight, including travel expenses for meetings.
  • Access to a network of local charities collaborating with Pilotlight.
  • Two peer-to-peer sessions with other award winners during the year to share experiences and best practices.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for the Weston Charity Awards, organisations must meet the following conditions:

  • Be a registered charity with an annual income of less than £5 million.
  • Have delivered services for at least two years.
  • Employ at least one full-time paid member of staff in a leadership role.
  • Conduct the majority of their activities or benefit the majority of their beneficiaries in the Midlands, the North of England, or Wales.

Application Deadline and Local Impact

The deadline for applications is 9 January 2026. Charities in Leeds and the surrounding areas have previously taken part in the awards and reported that the support received has been valuable in developing their work.
