South Asian Arts-uk (SAA-uk), an organisation focused on promoting performing arts and culture within the South Asian diaspora in the UK, has announced a vacancy for new Trustees to join its Board. The role involves helping to guide the organisation’s vision and influence the future of South Asian arts across the country.

Who Can Apply
The organisation welcomes applications from both emerging professionals and experienced leaders. They are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the following areas:
- Fundraising, especially individual giving
- Capital development
- Human resources and/or legal expertise
- Interest in non-formal performing arts education
- Strong knowledge of the UK arts sector and cultural policy

Application Process
Applications close on 6 February 2026. The recruitment process includes the following steps:
- Review the Trustee Recruitment Pack for detailed information on the role and responsibilities.
- Submit a completed application form, including a CV and two referee contacts. If unable to upload the CV online, applicants can email it directly to SAA-uk.
- If shortlisted, attend a 30 to 45-minute interview with the Chair or Vice-Chair, one Trustee, and one senior staff member.
- Complete a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be arranged by SAA-uk.
To support fairness, the organisation uses an anonymised shortlisting process focusing on skills, experience, and motivations. Adjustments can be made during the interview process for those who require them.
Information and Support Sessions
Prospective applicants can join “Let’s Talk Board!” sessions to learn more about the Trustee role. These sessions include:
- Online group or one-to-one sessions lasting 20–30 minutes during the week starting 19 January 2026.
- In-person sessions at the organisation’s office available on request during the week commencing 26 January 2026.
