West Yorkshire Launches New Anti-Knife Crime Campaign
February 9, 2026Young People Invited to Share Views in Survey
West Yorkshire Police and Crime are developing a new campaign aimed at reducing knife crime by encouraging positive behaviour change and raising awareness among young people aged 11 to 25. The initiative seeks to involve young people directly in shaping the campaign to ensure it is relevant and effective.
Survey to Gather Young People’s Perspectives
As part of the campaign development, an anonymous online survey has been launched to collect the views and experiences of young people within the target age group. The survey is designed to take approximately 10 minutes to complete and can be filled out individually or during group sessions.
The survey aims to understand young people’s attitudes and perceptions about knife crime, establishing a baseline to measure the campaign’s impact over time. A follow-up survey using the same questions is planned for early June to assess any changes in attitudes or behaviours.
How to Participate
- The survey is open to young people aged 11 to 25.
- It can be completed online at: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=8yTsfmkE4UmYUGCgJ3MFwTBJWdMqz9BEh_00QavhehRUMjc1TUVQMVBWRElMQVNTSlk3UzhPSVgyUi4u
