Yorkshire-based charity Out Together has announced a new partnership with actor Jonathan Bailey and his organisation, The Shameless Fund. Details of the partnership
Out Together and The Shameless Fund share a mission to break down barriers and foster connections across generations and regions within the LGBTQ+ community. The partnership seeks to build a more visible and empowered community by supporting individuals who may experience isolation due to factors such as age, geography, or past stigma.
Jonathan Bailey, who founded The Shameless Fund, expressed his support for Out Together, recognising the charity’s work in honouring the contributions of earlier generations of LGBTQ+ people. He highlighted the importance of the charity’s recent milestone in recruiting permanent staff, which will help ensure the organisation’s sustainability.

Charity leadership comments
Thomas Porteus, Chair of Out Together, welcomed the partnership and funding from The Shameless Fund, stating that it has strengthened the charity’s resilience and enabled expansion of services. He noted that the charity is working on initiatives to challenge stigma and oppression in workplaces and is amplifying LGBTQ+ voices nationally to foster intergenerational solidarity.
Porteus also emphasised the charity’s goal to support people across the UK, moving beyond its Yorkshire origins, and to engage younger generations as allies, volunteers, and members.
The Shameless Fund’s role
The Shameless Fund raises money through collaborations with global brands to support non-profit organisations worldwide that work to create environments where LGBTQ+ individuals can live authentically without discrimination or shame. Out Together is one of four UK-based founding partner charities selected by The Shameless Fund.
