New Community Foundation Fund Launches to Support Local Charities

A new funding opportunity has been announced for local charities and community groups aiming to reduce poverty and support healthy living. The Community Foundation Fund, managed by Able Communities CIO, will open for grant applications on 13 April.
Details of the Community Foundation Fund
The fund has a total of £250,000 available, which has been gifted to Able Communities CIO by EN:Procure, a specialist procurement organisation. This donation marks the 10th anniversary of Able Communities CIO.
Local charities and groups operating within the areas served by Efficiency North’s membership are eligible to apply. Grants of up to £5,000 will be available to purchase equipment and carry out works for projects that address poverty or promote healthy living.
In addition, trustees will consider a limited number of larger grants of up to £25,000 for projects demonstrating greater need and potential for significant impact.
How to apply
- Applications open on 13 April
- Grants available: up to £5,000 for most projects; up to £25,000 for selected larger projects
- Eligible applicants: local charities and community groups within Efficiency North’s membership areas
- Purpose: to fund equipment and works for projects reducing poverty or supporting healthy living
