Compassionate City Awards 2026 Now Accepting Nominations

The Compassionate City Awards 2026 have opened for nominations, inviting members of the public to put forward individuals and organisations who have made significant contributions to their local communities in Leeds. These awards aim to highlight those who have gone above and beyond to support and improve life in the city.
Award Categories
The awards cover a broad range of community efforts, with nine categories recognising different types of achievements. These categories include:
- Jo Cox Award
- Unsung Sporting Hero of the Year
- Community Sports Project of the Year
- Fundraising Achievement of the Year
- Community Organisation or Project of the Year
- Health and Wellbeing Project of the Year
- Diversity Project of the Year
- Environmental Achievement Award
- Unsung Hero of the Year
Nomination Process and Ceremony
Anyone can submit a nomination for the awards, with the deadline set for 25th September 2025. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Civic Hall in Leeds on 25th November 2025, where winners will be formally recognised for their contributions.
