Leeds University Union Welcomes New Students Ahead of Term

Support and Activities Available for Incoming Students

Leeds University Union (LUU) has outlined a range of opportunities and support services for students starting at the University of Leeds this September. The Union aims to provide a comprehensive experience beyond academic studies, focusing on social, personal, and career development.

Clubs and Societies

LUU offers over 350 clubs and societies, providing students with numerous options to explore new interests and meet like-minded peers. The Union has been recognised for its clubs and societies, having been voted No.1 in the UK in this category by StudentCrowd for two consecutive years.

Events and Social Activities

From Welcome Week onwards, LUU organises a range of student-led events designed to help new students settle in and feel at home in Leeds. Activities include cultural celebrations, affordable trips across the UK, and major events such as Varsity and the Leeds Ball.
