How Leeds Marathon runners can claim recovery items

Leeds Marathon participants will have the opportunity to collect free recovery products from the Lush store on Commercial Street on 10 May 2026. The offer includes a limited edition magnesium massage balm and a shower jelly, designed to aid post-race recovery.

Details of the free products

  • Ouchy Magnesium Massage Balm: This marathon-exclusive balm contains peppermint, bergamot, and wintergreen oils, alongside anti-inflammatory ingredients such as fresh turmeric and baobab oil. It is intended for use on muscular aches and pains, applied by massaging a small amount into the affected area twice daily. The balm is not recommended for use on broken skin.
  • The Good Hour Shower Jelly: Inspired by a Lush Spa treatment, this jelly includes peppermint, spearmint, and eucalyptus to provide a refreshing and cooling effect. It is suggested to be used chilled, straight from the fridge or freezer, to mimic the sensation of a cold plunge or sauna experience.

How to claim the offer

Runners who completed the Leeds Marathon in 2026 can visit the Lush store on Commercial Street during opening hours on 10 May and present their marathon medal to receive the free products, while stocks last.

Additional information on Lush Spa and recovery treatments

Lush also offers spa treatments at their Commercial Street location, with sessions starting from £40. The spa specialises in exercise recovery massages, including the Tailor Made and The Good Hour massages, which utilise Lush’s handmade products and are designed to support muscular recovery after physical exertion.

Helen Ambrosen, co-founder of Lush and a 35-time marathon runner, developed the Ouchy balm. She emphasises the importance of self-care following endurance events, encouraging runners to give their bodies time to recover.
