Memory Path Offers Tribute Space at St James’s Hospital

A tranquil walkway honours memories of loved ones

St James’s University Hospital in Leeds features a dedicated walkway known as the Memory Path, designed as a peaceful space for reflection and remembrance. The path is located outside the Chapel and runs through the landscaped garden, connecting visitors to the Gledhow Wing entrance.

Details of the Memory Path

The Memory Path is lined with special plaques that commemorate lost loved ones. These plaques are made from gold acrylic with black etched lettering. They are installed on the bricks along the path, creating a lasting tribute for families and friends.

Plaque donation and installation

• Plaques are available from a suggested donation of £150, with the cost varying depending on the length of time the plaque will be installed.
• Engravings and installations are carried out multiple times a year.
• Requests can be made to have plaques installed by specific dates or anniversaries, subject to availability.
• After the installation period ends, donors may choose to renew the plaque’s installation or have it returned for personal keeping.
