Support Programmes for Individuals and Managers Launched

Leeds Health and Care Academy has introduced free training programmes aimed at supporting neurodivergent individuals and the managers who work with them. These initiatives form part of the organisation’s Thrive at Work programme and are designed to improve understanding and support around neurodiversity in the workplace.

Training for Neurodivergent Individuals

The individual programme, titled Understanding Your Own Neurodivergence, combines self-paced e-learning with group coaching sessions. It aims to help participants:

  • Gain a better understanding of their neurodivergence and personal strengths
  • Build confidence in the workplace
  • Develop practical strategies to support day-to-day success at work

Manager Training Programme

For managers, the academy offers a dedicated training and e-learning course called Identifying & Implementing Effective Support for Neurodivergent Staff. This programme is designed to help managers:

  • Improve their understanding of neurodiversity in the workplace
  • Confidently support neurodivergent colleagues
  • Create more neuroinclusive teams and working environments
