Guiseley will welcome National League side Sutton United to Nethermoor on Saturday for an Emirates FA Cup first-round tie.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 3pm on 7 November. Guiseley are aiming to reach the second round for the third time in the club’s history, according to the club’s preview. It would be their fifth first-round appearance in the competition in 10 years.

Sutton reached the first round by beating Truro in the final qualifying round. Emmanuel Osadebe scored the only goal in the 32nd minute. Sutton are 11th in the National League, with 24 points from 16 matches, and are in their third season back in non-League football after five seasons in League Two.

The visitors’ recent results include a 3-0 away win at Worthing and a 0-0 draw with Southampton Under-21s in the National League Cup. Sutton won the latter match 3-1 on penalties. The cup tie at Nethermoor will be their first away fixture in the FA Cup for five matches, the preview said.

Squad updates

Jack Emmett returned to Guiseley’s side for Tuesday’s win over Leek Town after recovering from illness. Harrison Hopper missed that match because of illness, with his availability for Saturday still uncertain.

Adam Lund, Aaron Martin and Jay Rollins are nearing full fitness and could be included in the matchday squad. Guiseley said teams can name nine substitutes for the tie.

The clubs have met four times previously, with Sutton winning three of those matches. Guiseley’s only victory came on 14 February 2017, when John Rooney scored an injury-time winner on his debut. The sides last met in 2018.

Tickets and match arrangements

Tickets will be available at the turnstiles on the day. Prices are £14 for adults, £10 for concessions, £5 for people aged 11 to 18 and £1 for accompanied children under 11. Under-16s must attend with a responsible adult.

Card payments will be accepted at all turnstiles except turnstile 4, which is cash only. The club said there will be no alcohol sales inside the ground for this designated fixture, although alcohol will be available in the clubhouse and cannot be taken outside.

A minute’s silence will be held before kick-off in remembrance of those who died in conflict, ahead of Remembrance Sunday. Supporters unable to attend can follow live commentary through the Mixlr app or at guiseleyradio.mixlr.com from 2.50pm.
