Guiseley AFC have confirmed that central defender Elliot Owen will remain with the club for the 2026/27 campaign, having signed a contract extension. Owen joined Guiseley in December 2025 from Stocksbridge Park Steels for an undisclosed fee and has since made a notable impact at Nethermoor.

Player background and recent performances

The 21-year-old defender, born in Harrogate, made his debut for Guiseley shortly after signing, appearing against Hebburn Town. Since joining, Owen has made 15 appearances and scored four goals, including a brace at Stocksbridge Park Steels on New Year’s Day. His performances contributed to his inclusion in the Northern Premier League (NPL) East Team of the Season for 2024-25, alongside Guiseley forward Amir Berchil and former academy goalkeeper Declan Lambton.
