Guiseley AFC has confirmed the signing of Adam Lund from Alfreton Town as the club prepares for the 2026/27 campaign. The 27-year-old midfielder, who is also capable of playing in defence, is expected to bring experience and physicality to the squad.

Player background and career history

Adam Lund began his football career in the Barnsley academy before moving into senior football in 2018. Following his release from Barnsley, he signed for Goole, where he spent a season. He then moved to Pickering Town in North Yorkshire for a year, followed by two seasons at Staveley Miners Welfare.

During his time at Staveley Miners Welfare, Lund’s performances attracted attention, leading to a move to Alfreton Town in the National League North. He spent six seasons at Alfreton, making over 200 appearances and serving as captain for a significant number of games. Lund was recently named Alfreton’s Supporters Player of the Season and played a key role in the club’s consecutive play-off campaigns.
