Children’s Halloween Toddle Returns to Roundhay Park

Annual event invites under fives to take part in 1km walk

The popular Children’s Halloween Toddle is set to return to Roundhay Park on Saturday 31st October, offering families an opportunity to participate in a 1km walk while raising funds for Leeds Children’s Hospital.

The Halloween-themed Toddle encourages children under five to dress in spooky costumes and take part in the walk. Parents, carers, siblings, and supporters are also invited to attend, providing support and enjoying activities planned for the day. The event aims to be a family-friendly occasion that combines fundraising with fun.

Personal story highlights importance of the event

One of the toddlers participating is three-year-old Teddy Johnson from Leeds. Teddy has been a patient at Leeds Children’s Hospital since infancy. Born five weeks premature, he spent a week receiving specialist care before being discharged. At around one year old, Teddy experienced his first seizure and was urgently transported to Leeds Children’s Hospital for treatment.

Teddy’s family, including his eight-year-old sister Ivy, two-year-old brother Archie, and parents Laura and Chris, will be joining the Toddle to support the hospital that has cared for him.

Supporting Leeds Children’s Hospital

Funds raised from the Halloween Toddle will contribute to Leeds Children’s Hospital, which provides specialist care for children across the region. Events like this play a role in supporting the hospital’s services and enhancing patient care.
