Create & Connect brings a fresh approach to networking in Leeds

There’s a new kind of networking event coming to Leeds this November — and it’s anything but the usual name-badge-and-small-talk routine.

Create & Connect, founded by artists and business owners Mike Hall and Nicci Rushfirth, is all about relaxed conversations in a creative setting. No big speeches, no forced intros – just a space where good people meet, chat, and see where the conversation goes.

The first event takes place on Thursday 13th November at humanSpaces in Leeds city centre, bringing together business owners, creatives, and professionals who prefer their networking to feel natural rather than “networky.”

Talking about the event, Mike explained:

“We wanted to create something different. A space where people actually enjoy turning up. It’s not about selling or pitching. It’s about connecting with interesting people, sharing ideas, and letting business happen naturally.”

Adding to this, Nicci went on to say:

“So many people say they dread networking because it feels forced. We’ve flipped that on its head. Create & Connect is all about conversation, creativity, and community.”

Guests can expect a welcoming atmosphere, a few light creative touches, and plenty of opportunities to meet like-minded people in an inspiring environment.
