Free Technology Support Offered to Charities
August 11, 2026New initiative aims to tackle common tech challenges in the charity sector
Charities in England and Wales are being offered free technology support through a new programme developed by CAST, a charity specialising in digital and AI solutions for social good, in collaboration with The Tech for Good Alliance.
Following discussions with numerous charities, CAST and The Tech for Good Alliance identified recurring issues faced by organisations, including:
- Efficiently writing case notes
- Managing events
- Handling fundraising applications
- Creating impact reports
To address these challenges, The Tech for Good Alliance has begun developing shared digital tools and is continuing to identify further sector-wide needs. With funding from Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales’ Financial Resilience Fund, the alliance is now able to offer free support to charities to either build new tools or access existing ones.
Who can benefit?
The support is primarily aimed at small to medium-sized charities, typically those with an annual turnover between £100,000 and £3 million, particularly organisations that provide some form of support related to financial resilience.
How to get involved
Charities interested in exploring this opportunity can contact CAST for an informal discussion by emailing jackie@wearecast.org.uk.
Additionally, an ‘Ask Me Anything Digital’ webinar is scheduled for Wednesday 19 August at 2pm, offering a chance to see the tools in action and ask questions directly. Booking details are available through CAST’s website.
