Information sessions scheduled for October 7th

Leeds Hospitals Charity is inviting staff from Leeds Teaching Hospitals to attend information sessions about the Moments That Matter funding programme. The sessions, taking place on Wednesday 7th October 2026, aim to provide details on how small grants can support projects that enhance the experience and wellbeing of patients, their families, and hospital staff.

Details of the funding programme

The Moments That Matter initiative offers grants ranging from £75 to £2,500. These funds are intended to support creative and compassionate projects that go beyond routine care. Examples of previously funded projects include:

  • Creating welcoming spaces for relatives
  • Providing sensory resources for patients
  • Supporting staff wellbeing initiatives
  • Supplying practical comfort items

The programme focuses on generating moments of comfort, dignity, connection, calm, or joy within the hospital environment.

Information session schedule and content

Two sessions will be held on the same day to accommodate different schedules:

  • Morning session: 8:00am – 9:00am
  • Afternoon session: 4:30pm – 5:30pm

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear about the impact of previously funded projects and learn how to apply for funding to support their own ideas.

These sessions are aimed at hospital staff who have ideas that could improve the experience of patients, families, or colleagues within Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
