Varied Halloween Activities Planned Across the City

Leeds is set to host a series of Halloween events throughout October and early November, catering to a wide range of interests from film screenings and theatre performances to ghost tours and immersive scare experiences. The city’s cultural venues, cinemas, and outdoor spaces will offer opportunities for residents and visitors to engage with the Halloween season in different ways.

Film Screenings and Live Performances

Several cinemas and theatres across Leeds will present Halloween-themed film screenings and live musical performances. Highlights include:

  • The Old Woollen will screen the 1925 silent film The Phantom of the Opera with a live piano score by Jonny Best on 26 October.
  • Hyde Park Picture House will feature a season of horror and classic films including Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein, Alien, Corpse Bride (celebrating 20 years), and Casper (30 years).
  • HEART Headingley Enterprise and Arts Centre will show A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night on 31 October.
