Leeds Valentine’s Fair Returns for Half-Term

The Leeds Valentine’s Fair is set to return to the city centre this February, offering a range of rides, games and food stalls during the half-term holiday. The event will take place from Friday 13 February to Sunday 22 February 2026 across Millennium Square, Victoria Gardens and Cookridge Street.
Event details and attractions
The Valentine’s Fair has been a fixture in Leeds since 1992 and is known as the UK’s original Valentine’s Fair. This year, it will open at 4pm on 13 February and then run daily from 12pm until 9.30pm, with extended hours until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Visitors can expect a variety of rides, including:
- 360° Superstar
- 40-metre Booster
- Devil Rock swinging ride
- Leeds Wheel of Light (wheelchair accessible)
- Classic dodgems
- Waltzer
- Children’s rides suitable for younger visitors
In addition to the rides, there will be food stalls offering traditional fairground treats such as hot dogs, churros, doughnuts, candy floss and hot chocolate.
Access and pricing
Entry to the fairground site is free, with individual charges applying for rides and attractions. Discounts will be available for Leeds Card and Breeze Pass holders.
Comments from organisers and council
Roger Tuby from International Funfairs highlighted the variety of attractions, saying the event aims to provide a fun and welcoming experience for all ages, including accessible features.
Leeds City Council’s deputy leader, Councillor Jonathan Pryor, noted that the fair brings light and enjoyment during a typically quiet time of year and expressed anticipation for the event’s return.
