Leeds-based firm Leonard Curtis has recently contributed to Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm through both volunteering and fundraising activities. Their involvement over the past few months has helped support disadvantaged children in the Leeds area.
Volunteering and fundraising efforts
The Leonard Curtis team participated in a volunteering session at Lineham Farm, assisting with the organisation of thousands of donated toys as part of the charity’s Christmas Gift Appeal. Additionally, they took part in the ‘Leeds to Lapland’ challenge, raising £1,000.
Further support came in the form of a £900 donation from the LC Foundation, bringing Leonard Curtis’s total contribution to £1,900.
Motivation behind the support
Many members of the Leonard Curtis team have young families, which has influenced their commitment to helping children in need. They were reportedly moved by learning about the number of children in Leeds requiring assistance and expressed a belief that businesses have an important role in supporting their local communities.
The company highlighted the benefits of such involvement, including team building, increased morale, and a shared sense of purpose.
Comments from Leonard Curtis
Phil Deyes, Director at Leonard Curtis, said:
“Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm are an unbelievable charity doing brilliant work to help the children of Leeds. Their culture, ethos and desire to do the very best they can for some of the most disadvantaged young people of this City is truly inspiring.
They were an absolute pleasure to volunteer and fundraise for, finding time to engage with and tell us how our small contribution could make such a big difference. We can’t wait to work with them again and support this wonderful charity!”
