New Family Halloween Event Launches at Lotherton Hall
September 14, 2026Discover the magical ‘Spellbound’ trail this autumn
Lotherton Hall is set to host a new Halloween event this half term, offering families a chance to explore a magical trail across the estate. Running from 24 October to 1 November 2026, the event titled ‘Spellbound’ invites visitors to help mend a broken spell by collecting clues scattered throughout the grounds.
Event details and storyline
Each autumn, the witches of Lotherton cast a charm to capture the last warmth of summer and protect the estate through winter. This year, the charm has been broken, and its ten words have been scattered, one to each witch. Visitors can collect a spellbook at the entrance and search for ten willow arches, each representing one of the witches. These arches are located throughout the woods, gardens, Wildlife World, and around Lotherton Hall.
Each willow arch contains a single clue needed to restore the charm. Once all ten clues are found, families can mend the spell at the Great Cauldron in ‘Cinderwick Village’. The willow arches are designed as artistic installations featuring lights, foliage, and magical trinkets, providing an immersive experience set against the autumnal backdrop of the estate.
