Small Grants Available for Health Projects in Leeds

Local organisations and community groups in Leeds have the opportunity to apply for small grants aimed at tackling health inequalities in specific neighbourhoods. The funding is part of the Health Needs and Assets Assessment Grants programme, which encourages projects that respond to health priorities identified through recent assessments.
Grant details and eligibility
The total fund available is £63,000, distributed across 13 neighbourhoods in Leeds. Grants of up to £2,000 are available for constituted organisations, while unconstituted community groups can apply for up to £500. Applicants must be based in Leeds and support people living in one of the following areas:
- Gipton
- Harehills
- Burmantofts & Richmond Hill
- Cross Flatts Park
- Holbeck
- Armley
Project aims and requirements
Projects funded through this scheme should focus on community-led activities that address health inequalities. Applicants are encouraged to use local intelligence and insight to improve health and wellbeing in their area. Collaborative work with local partners to test new ideas or build on existing successful approaches is also supported.
All funds must be spent within six months of receiving the grant. The deadline for applications is 5.00pm on Friday 5 December 2025.
