New summer dance party to combine 90s club classics with orchestral music

Leeds will host a new outdoor summer event featuring electronic music pioneers Utah Saints alongside the Symphony Orchestra of Opera North. The event, titled Club Classical Ibiza, is set to take place at Millennium Square on Friday 26 June 2026.

Event details and line-up

The one-night event will showcase a blend of live DJ sets and orchestral performances. Utah Saints, comprising Jez Willis and Tim Garbutt, will headline and curate the event. They will be joined by Leeds-based DJ and radio presenter Andi Durrant, as well as a special guest DJ yet to be announced.

The highlight of the evening will be a collaboration between Utah Saints and the 50-piece Symphony Orchestra of Opera North. Together, they will perform iconic 1990s dance anthems and club classics. Special guest vocalist Janice Robinson, known for her work with Livin’ Joy, will perform, including an orchestral rendition of the hit “Dreamer”. Additional special guests are expected to be announced in due course.

Local response

Councillor Salma Arif, Leeds City Council’s executive member for adult social care, active lifestyles and culture, commented on the event: “Millennium Square is such a unique and vibrant venue and it’s fantastic that we’re able to host such an exciting line-up of artists at the heart of the city centre each and every year. It’s even more special that, as part of our programme, we’re also able to showcase the incredible talents of some of our local artists, performers and cultural institutions like Opera North.”
