George Goodman Joins Guiseley AFC on One-Month Loan

Young defender to bolster Guiseley’s squad until mid-November

Guiseley AFC have secured the services of central defender George Goodman on a one-month loan from Bradford City. The 18-year-old will remain with Guiseley until 17 November 2025.

Player background and career progression

Goodman, who stands 6ft 4ins tall, has been part of Bradford City’s youth system since under-9 level. After progressing through the ranks, he signed his first professional contract with the League One club in May 2025 following a successful scholarship period.

During the past two seasons, Goodman has been involved with Bradford City’s first-team squad, including being named on the bench for their Emirates FA Cup match against Aldershot Town last season.

International experience

On the international stage, Goodman has represented Northern Ireland’s under-19 team. He featured in three matches during the 2024 UEFA Under-19 European Championship. More recently, he received a call-up to Northern Ireland’s under-21 squad for the UEFA U21 European Championship qualification matches against Malta and Germany.
