Guiseley AFC Launches Fundraiser for New Fan Zone

Supporters urged to contribute to enhance matchday experience at Nethermoor

Guiseley AFC, in collaboration with the Guiseley AFC Supporters’ Club and the Raise the Roof fundraising team, has announced a new initiative to raise funds for the installation of a Fan Zone at Nethermoor Stadium. The project aims to create a dedicated area for supporters to gather before and during matches, improving the overall atmosphere and facilities at the ground.

Details of the Fan Zone

The proposed Fan Zone will be located at the Railway End of Nethermoor, a key area intended to foster a lively and engaging environment on matchdays. Planned features include:

• A bottle bar serving beverages
• Benches and seating areas for food and drink consumption
• An accessible viewing platform to provide better sightlines of the pitch for all supporters
• Incorporation of previously sold Raise The Roof bricks as part of the Fan Zone’s design

The inclusion of an accessible viewing platform highlights the club’s intention to enhance the experience for supporters with mobility needs.

Fundraising Efforts and How to Support

The fundraising target for the Fan Zone project is set at £10,000. To support this goal, the club and its partners have organised several initiatives:

• A Christmas Draw with tickets priced at £1 each, offering prizes such as £200 in cash, a spa day for two at La Vida Day Spa, meat hampers and vouchers, and luxury hampers
• Opportunities to purchase commemorative bricks, which will be incorporated into the Fan Zone structure. These bricks can serve as tributes or personal dedications
• Options to make one-off or regular donations online

Tickets for the Christmas Draw can be purchased online or at the Supporters’ Club desk in the clubhouse on matchdays.

Community Involvement and Sponsorship

The club is inviting supporters to share their ideas on what should be included in the Fan Zone. Feedback can be submitted via email to info@guiseleyafcsupportersclub.com or through an online form provided by the Supporters’ Club.
