Guiseley AFC has announced a new partnership with Virtual College, an online compliance training provider based in Leeds. The collaboration aims to provide club staff and volunteers with access to a range of online training courses to support compliance and safety at the club’s Nethermoor ground.
Details of the partnership
Virtual College, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, offers a variety of training solutions covering topics such as food hygiene, health and safety, safeguarding, and business compliance. The company has reportedly trained over five million learners and provides courses suitable for organisations of various sizes as well as individuals seeking to improve their skills and knowledge.
Guiseley AFC’s General Manager, James Pickles, commented on the partnership, emphasising the convenience of the online courses for staff and volunteers. He stated that the training will help ensure safety standards are maintained at Nethermoor.
Laura Cooper, Head of Marketing at Virtual College, highlighted the significance of supporting local football clubs and their volunteers. She noted the importance of non-league football in the community and expressed anticipation for the club’s team to complete the online training programmes.
