Young goalkeeper joins from Bradford (Park Avenue) ahead of new season

Guiseley AFC have confirmed the signing of 21-year-old goalkeeper Jack Hall from Bradford (Park Avenue). Hall, who has recently been playing in the Northern Premier League East Division, will be the club’s new number one ahead of the upcoming season.

Player background and career progression

Jack Hall began his football career in the Sheffield Wednesday academy before gaining experience in men’s football through loan spells. In October 2024, he joined Bradford (Park Avenue) on loan, marking his first exposure to senior football. He later spent part of the 2024/25 season on loan at Bridlington Town, also competing in the Northern Premier League East Division.

Following these loan periods, Hall was signed permanently by Bradford (Park Avenue) in the summer of 2025. During the 2025/26 season, he made 33 appearances and contributed to a defence that conceded only 34 goals in 42 league matches, the second lowest in the division. Bradford (Park Avenue) narrowly missed out on promotion after losing the play-off final to Emley.

International experience and coaching role

While with Sheffield Wednesday, Hall was involved with the first team, travelling to games and participating in pre-season tours. He also received a call-up to the England Under-18 squad, making a substitute appearance in a 3-0 victory against Russia, where he kept a clean sheet.

In addition to his playing career, Hall works as a goalkeeper and outfield coach at the Palmer School of Excellence, a coaching initiative established by Sheffield Wednesday captain Liam Palmer.

Club comments and upcoming fixtures

Guiseley’s manager Ian Richards commented on the signing, highlighting Hall’s agility, shot-stopping ability, and kicking skills, which can help transition defence into attack quickly. Richards also praised Hall’s attitude, work ethic, and ambition to play at higher levels.

Guiseley’s next scheduled match is a pre-season friendly against Harrogate Town, set for 11 July 2026 at 3:00 pm.
