Guiseley AFC Updates Ground Regulations Following Fan Behaviour Concerns
March 17, 2026New Policy Introduced for Under-16s at Nethermoor Park
Guiseley AFC has announced changes to its ground regulations and admissions policy in response to recent incidents involving fan behaviour at and after matches. The club has introduced a new rule requiring all under-16s without a season ticket to be accompanied by a responsible adult to gain entry to Nethermoor Park.
This decision follows a series of events where groups of youths were reported to have behaved inappropriately, including harassment of other supporters as they left the ground. The club emphasised that while the enthusiasm and support from younger fans is valued, the safety and enjoyment of all attendees remain a priority.
Measures Taken to Address Behaviour
In recent months, Guiseley AFC has worked closely with local authorities, including School Safety officers and West Yorkshire Police, to address concerns. The club has also increased stewarding at matches, with plans to further enhance these efforts.
The club issued a reminder that any discriminatory, inflammatory, or improper behaviour from supporters of any age will not be tolerated. Actions that damage the reputation of the club may result in bans, and this applies both inside and outside the stadium.
Commitment to Family-Friendly Environment
Guiseley AFC highlighted its ongoing commitment to engaging with local children and maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere. Over the past two seasons, the club has distributed more than 800 junior season tickets as part of this effort.
