Late penalty secures draw at Nethermoor

Guiseley AFC and Workington played out a 1-1 draw in a closely contested Northern Premier League Premier Division match at Nethermoor on Saturday, 7 March 2026. The match saw both teams create chances but ultimately settle for a point each in front of a crowd of 753.

Workington take early lead

The visitors from Cumbria started strongly, taking the lead just five minutes into the game. Isaac Whitehall delivered a cross into the box which Dan Hopper converted past Guiseley goalkeeper Joe Cracknell. In the closing stages, Guiseley even pushed centre back Jake Lawlor forward in search of a goal, but the visitors held on.
