Guiseley AFC have confirmed the return of striker Leo Farrell on loan from Barnsley until 3 January 2026. This marks Farrell’s third spell with the club, where he previously made a notable impact during the last season.

Previous Contributions at Guiseley

The 19-year-old forward scored seven goals in 15 appearances last season for Guiseley. He initially joined the club after impressing in a pre-season friendly for Barnsley, where he scored a hat-trick following a return from injury.

Farrell made an immediate impact on his debut for Guiseley by scoring twice against FC United of Manchester at Nethermoor, earning the Man of the Match award in a 3-2 victory. He also found the net in matches against Bamber Bridge (twice), Hyde United, and Worksop Town.

Recent Activity with Barnsley

Since the start of the current season, Farrell has been involved with Barnsley’s first team, featuring in pre-season friendlies. He made his senior debut in August during the Carabao Cup match against Fleetwood Town, coming on as a half-time substitute and successfully converting a penalty in the shootout, contributing to Barnsley’s victory.
