Families across West Yorkshire are invited to join a festive afternoon at Russell House as Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice holds its annual Christmas Fayre on Sunday the 30th of November 2025.

A wide range of festive gifts will be on offer on the day.

The event will run from 12 noon to 3pm and promises a mix of seasonal entertainment and fundraising activities. Visitors can expect craft stalls, a tombola, live music from local performers, and the chance to meet Santa in his grotto, along with some of his festive friends hidden in the garden.

New for this year, the hospice will also be selling real Christmas trees on site, with a variety of sizes available. The trees, which have been donated, can be taken home on the day and booked in for collection after Christmas as part of Forget Me Not’s long-running recycling scheme.

The event also includes a creative addition in the form of a colouring club hosted by Brighouse-based artist Roger Davies, known for his depictions of everyday life and landmarks in West Yorkshire. Davies will be on hand throughout the afternoon, offering families the chance to contribute to a collaborative colouring activity inspired by his artwork.

Roger had this to say:

“I was delighted when Forget Me Not got in touch to say they’d seen my paintings around Brighouse and invited me to be part of this year’s Christmas Fayre. I love to use my artwork to raise money for local good causes when I get the chance and I’m looking forward to meeting hundreds of Forget Me Not supporters at Russell House.”

Proceeds from the day will support the charity’s work with children who have life-shortening conditions. The hospice provides care and support to families across the region, including specialist nursing, therapy, bereavement services, and memory-making activities.

Speaking about the fayre, Forget Me Not events fundraiser Jessica Collins said:

“We can’t wait to welcome people to this year’s Christmas Fayre. People are in for a treat with lots of opportunities to snap up Christmas gifts or even create your own at Roger Davies’ colouring club. We’ll have a baked potato stall, hot drinks and cakes so you can also get a yummy lunch or snack too.

Santa will be here of course, and to make it even more Christmassy we’ll have 200 beautiful real Christmas trees for people to choose from! These have kindly been donated to us, so every penny spent on a tree or at our Fayre will help us support local children and families.

Come and join the Christmas magic at Forget Me Not!”
