New Signing Aims to Strengthen Guiseley Backline

Guiseley AFC has confirmed the signing of full back Jack Tinker ahead of the new Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division season. The 26-year-old defender joins the club after spending the last five years at Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Player Background and Career

Jack Tinker began his football career with Brighouse Town before moving to South Yorkshire, where he played for Stocksbridge Park Steels. During his time at Stocksbridge, Tinker made nearly 200 appearances and contributed to the club’s promotion to the Northern Premier League Premier Division.

Following his departure from Stocksbridge in the summer, Tinker briefly signed for Liversedge. However, the opportunity to reunite with Guiseley manager Ian Richards and compete at a higher level persuaded him to make the move.

Comments from Jack Tinker

Reflecting on his decision to leave Liversedge, Tinker acknowledged the difficulty of moving on from a club where he had spent a significant part of his career. He said, “It was a difficult decision to leave a club I’ve been at for so long. I’ve made many memories and some great friends so it wasn’t easy. I’ve learnt a lot at Stocksbridge playing under Ian.”
