May 15, 2026Guiseley defender commits to club through 2027/28 season
Guiseley AFC has confirmed that defender Ollie Brown has signed a new two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons. Brown, a graduate of the club’s academy, is entering his sixth and seventh years with the first team.
Since breaking into the first team during the 2020/21 season, which was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, Brown has made over 160 appearances for Guiseley. He reached the milestone of 150 appearances last season during his second spell at Nethermoor.
Career progression and achievements
Brown initially came through the Guiseley Academy and played a key role in the academy side’s FA Youth Cup victory at Bolton Wanderers’ Toughsheet Community Stadium in 2020. He made 30 appearances for the first team in the 2021/22 season before moving to Alfreton Town at the end of that campaign.
During the 2022/23 season, Brown was loaned to Atherton Collieries after limited involvement at Alfreton Town. He subsequently returned to Guiseley for a second spell at Nethermoor.
Positional versatility and recent form
Primarily a defender, Brown is also capable of playing in midfield. Notably, he scored his first goals for Guiseley in recent seasons, adding four goals to his record after having none prior to the 2024/25 campaign.
