Business Faculty Leader By-Election Opens at Leeds University

Leeds University Business School has opened nominations for the position of Business Faculty Engagement Leader, a part-time paid role designed to represent students and contribute to academic decision-making within the faculty.
Role and responsibilities
The Business Faculty Engagement Leader will act as a representative for students at the faculty level, providing a channel for student voices in discussions related to academic policies and improvements. The role involves:
- Representing Business School students in faculty matters
- Influencing and advocating for academic decisions and enhancements
- Developing leadership, communication, and professional skills
- Contributing to the improvement of the student experience for current and future cohorts
Eligibility and voting
Students who are enrolled in Leeds University Business School and will be studying during the academic years 2025/26 or 2026/27 are eligible to stand for election. All current Business School students have the right to vote in the by-election.
Key dates for the election process
- Nominations: 8 to 15 July
- Candidate Academy: 20 July, 2pm to 4pm
- Campaigning period: 21 to 26 July
- Meet the Candidates event: 28 July
- Voting day: 29 July
- Results announced: 31 July
