About Leeds Children’s Charity
Leeds Children’s Charity, based at Lineham Farm, provides support to approximately 3,000 children and young people annually. Its programmes include residential breaks, outdoor learning, wellbeing initiatives, and enrichment activities designed to build confidence, resilience, friendships, and a sense of belonging among participants.
The charity’s work is particularly relevant given that one in four children in Leeds are growing up in poverty, highlighting the importance of its services for disadvantaged children and families.
Duncan Pearce’s Background and Vision
- Duncan Pearce has over 25 years of experience working with children and young people in community, residential, and outdoor settings.
- He is currently Chief Executive of Northpoint and has held senior leadership and governance roles in the voluntary sector.
- His expertise includes mental health, wellbeing, safeguarding, and youth support services.
