Outdoor lunchtime events to take place across six city centre locations

The annual Leeds Summer Roadshow is set to return this June and July for its fifth consecutive year, offering a range of free outdoor activities across six locations in the city centre. The event aims to provide lunchtime entertainment and encourage people to spend time outside their offices.

Event Details and Locations

This year’s Summer Roadshow will run over three weeks, with two locations operating simultaneously each day from 12pm to 2pm. The schedule is as follows:

  • Week 1 (23rd–25th June): Wellington Place and Park Square
  • Week 2 (30th June–2nd July): Central Square and Bruntwood West Village
  • Week 3 (7th–9th July): Sovereign Square and Aire Park

Activities will vary by day and location. Updates and detailed daily schedules will be available on the event’s social media channels.

Themed Activity Strands

The Summer Roadshow features three main themes designed to appeal to a broad audience:

  • Move: Includes pop-up squash courts, a climbing wall, crazy golf, and neck and shoulder massages.
  • Make: Offers creative activities such as windchime painting, a colouring mural, and a linocut printing workshop suitable for all skill levels.
  • Music: Live music performances accompanied by picnic blankets and complimentary food and drink samples.

Additional Offerings

Alongside the activities, attendees can enjoy free refreshments including Nespresso iced coffees and Northern Bloc ice creams, which have been popular in previous years.
