Luminate Education Group Supports Leeds Children’s Charity

Local education group backs children’s charity with fundraising and volunteering

Luminate Education Group has recently established a partnership with Leeds Children’s Charity, aiming to support children and young people across Leeds through fundraising and volunteering activities. The collaboration highlights shared values around youth wellbeing, outdoor experiences, and community impact.

Three Peaks Challenge raises funds for local children

The partnership began earlier this year with a fundraising event centred on the Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks Challenge. Initially a personal challenge among colleagues, the event expanded to include over 20 members of the Luminate team. On 24 April 2026, the group, alongside Leeds Children’s Charity staff, completed the demanding hike in high temperatures.

The team’s original fundraising target was £1,000, but they ultimately raised £1,265. The funds will contribute to supporting children across Leeds who are facing poverty, disadvantage, and difficult circumstances.

Engagement with Lineham Farm

Luminate Education Group’s involvement deepened following a visit to Lineham Farm, the charity’s outdoor centre. The farm offers children and young carers opportunities such as climbing, biking, animal care, hiking, and other outdoor activities designed to build confidence and resilience.
