Local authorities seek input on improving job support services

West Yorkshire Combined Authority has initiated a review of the employment support services currently available across the region. This move comes amid rising concerns about unemployment levels and the need to ensure effective assistance for job seekers.

Consultation workshops open to the public

Consultants appointed by the Combined Authority are conducting a series of workshops aimed at gathering insights and feedback from a broad range of stakeholders. These sessions are open to anyone interested in contributing to the review process, providing an opportunity for individuals and organisations to share their views on how employment support can be enhanced.

Steering group to oversee the review

In addition to the workshops, a steering group is being established to oversee the progress of the review. It is proposed that this group will include representation from the voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector, ensuring that the perspectives of these organisations are considered in decision-making.

Contact details for involvement

Those wishing to participate in the steering group or seeking more information about the review are encouraged to contact the Combined Authority via email at VCSEAdvisory@westyorks-ca.gov.uk.

This review aims to assess and potentially improve the employment support framework in West Yorkshire to better address the needs of the local workforce.
