Unique Cheese and Networking Event Supports Suicide Prevention

A distinctive networking event combining cheese tasting and suicide prevention awareness is scheduled to take place in Leeds this September. The event, titled ‘Nibbles & Natter’, will return to The Adelphi Leeds on Thursday 10th September 2026, coinciding with World Suicide Prevention Day.
Event details and collaborators
‘Nibbles & Natter’ is organised by HelloHope, a Leeds-based suicide prevention organisation, in partnership with cheeseboard specialists Homage2Fromage and The Chilli Shop, a local business known for its chilli products. The event aims to bring together business leaders and professionals in an informal setting to foster connections while raising awareness about suicide prevention.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample eight different types of cheese, including a unique, one-off cheese created especially for the event. This special cheese is a collaboration between Homage2Fromage and The Chilli Shop, featuring Pepper X, which is currently recognised as the world’s hottest chilli.
Speakers and activities
- Ellie MacDonald, Founder and CEO of HelloHope, will provide an introduction outlining the organisation’s work to integrate mental health and suicide prevention into workplaces.
- Nick Copland, co-founder of Homage2Fromage, will discuss their approach to cheese events, which emphasises accessibility and enjoyment without pretension.
Additionally, there will be a raffle offering a cheese and chilli hamper, with all proceeds supporting HelloHope’s ongoing suicide prevention efforts across the UK.
