Motorpoint, a used car retailer, is offering sponsorship to youth sports teams across Leeds to mark the opening of its new store in the city. The initiative aims to support local under-16s sports teams by providing financial assistance for the 2026/27 season.
Details of the Sponsorship
The new Motorpoint Leeds store is scheduled to open on 10 July 2026. To celebrate, the company plans to sponsor 22 youth sports teams in Leeds, each receiving £1,000. The funds are intended to help teams cover costs such as new kits, equipment, and competition fees.
The store will be located on Whitehall Road, near Elland Road and approximately one mile from Leeds city centre. It will feature nearly 300 cars available for immediate purchase.
Eligibility and Application Process
The sponsorship is open to under-16s sports teams based in Leeds and the surrounding areas. To be considered, teams must meet the following criteria:
- Be an under-16s sports team located in or around Leeds
- Applications must be submitted on behalf of an individual team
- Motorpoint must become the main kit sponsor for the team
Applications can be submitted by parents, coaches, or the teams themselves. Interested parties are invited to register their interest via the Motorpoint website. The application window is open until Friday 3 July 2026.
