Managerial Expectations
Guiseley manager Ian Richards described Lund as a player with leadership qualities and a competitive edge. Richards highlighted Lund’s versatility, noting his ability to play both in midfield and defence. He emphasised Lund’s experience, having made over 250 appearances at National League North level and serving as captain during his time at Alfreton.
Richards said: “Adam is a player I have admired from his early days at Staveley Miners Welfare. Since joining Alfreton he has become a leader, a competitor with 250 games of experience at National League North level, a high number as captain. He is still only 27 and will bring that experience alongside quality, physicality and energy to the squad.”

Adam Lund cited Guiseley’s ambitions as a key factor in his decision to join the club. He acknowledged the club’s recent history in the National League North and expressed his desire to help them return to that level.
Lund commented: “My biggest motivation was the aspirations of the club, it is going places. They were in National North not all that long ago and they are desperate to get back there and I hope to help them do so.”

Lund said: “I know a couple of the lads in the team in Jordan Thewlis and Ollie Brown, and I know the manager and it is good to hook back up with them. I spoke to Jordan about the club and he was nothing but positive about the club. I am looking forward to the challenge ahead. I am aiming to play as many games as possible and make a contribution to the team.”
