Guiseley AFC staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Bury 3-2 in a Northern Premier League Premier Division match at Nethermoor on Saturday, 18 August 2026. The Lions overturned a two-goal deficit to claim all three points in front of 1,370 spectators, including 588 visiting Bury fans.

Match Summary

The game started poorly for Guiseley as Bury took an early lead within three minutes. A back pass by Adam Lund was intercepted by Djavan Pedro, who scored past Guiseley goalkeeper Jack Hall. The Lions narrowly avoided conceding again moments later after Hall’s clearance hit an onrushing Bury forward but was eventually cleared.

Bury doubled their advantage on seven minutes when Kai Evans cut inside from the left wing and scored with a shot inside the near post. At this point, Bury appeared to be in control, but Guiseley gradually regained composure and began to create chances.
